Siser EasyWeed Heat Transfer Vinyl

What is heat transfer vinyl?

Heat transfer vinyl—also called HTV or iron-on vinyl—is a material you cut into a design and apply to fabric using heat and pressure. Unlike adhesive craft vinyl, it needs heat to bond to your project.

Siser EasyWeed has a thin finish and a carrier sheet that holds your design together while you remove the unwanted vinyl. It can also be layered to create multicolour designs.

Choose the size that suits your project

Our standard EasyWeed colour listings include:

• 20cm × 30cm: Handy for small designs, names and finishing touches.

• 30cm × 50cm: A practical option for individual projects.

• 30cm × 1m: More material for larger designs or several small makes.

• 30cm × 5m, 10m or 25m: Options for repeat projects and regular use.

Standard EasyWeed is suitable for cotton, polyester and cotton/polyester blends. Always check that your item can tolerate the application temperature and test before decorating.

How to apply standard Siser EasyWeed

1. Mirror your design, then cut with the carrier side facing down.

2. Weed away the unwanted vinyl, leaving your design on the carrier.

3. Preheat the fabric for 2–3 seconds.

4. Position the design and cover with a heat transfer cover sheet.

5. Heat press at 150°C for 15 seconds using medium pressure.

6. Peel the carrier hot or cold.

These are heat press settings for standard EasyWeed. For an EasyPress or household iron, follow Siser’s equipment-specific instructions. Specialty products may require different settings.

Caring for your finished project

Wait 24 hours before washing. Wash cold with mild detergent. Avoid bleach, dry cleaning and liquid fabric softener.
